Terms of Service

Effective date: May 12, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 12, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding legal agreement between you and Eng. Mohamed Khalil ("EventWand", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of the EventWand mobile applications, website, and related services (the "Platform").

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. The EventWand Platform

EventWand is a marketplace that connects customers who are looking to book vendors for events such as weddings, parties, and corporate occasions, with vendors who are independent businesses offering event-related services such as venues, photographers, caterers, decorators, and makeup artists.

EventWand is an intermediary. We provide the technology that lets customers and vendors find each other, communicate, and arrange bookings. We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a vendor, we do not provide event services ourselves, and we do not act as a broker, agent, or insurer.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

To use the Platform you must:

2.2 Your account

2.3 Verification

We may verify your identity, phone number, email, or business credentials at any time. Until verification is complete, certain features may be unavailable.

2.4 Browsing without an account

You may browse vendor profiles, view services, search, and explore the Platform without creating an account. An account is only required for features that depend on an identity, such as making a booking, messaging a vendor, saving favourites, leaving a review, or operating as a vendor.

3. Using the Platform

3.1 Permitted use

You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

3.2 Prohibited conduct

You must not:

3.3 Suspension and termination by EventWand

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if your conduct creates risk for other users, or if required by law.

3.4 Closing or deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the mobile app, or by emailing contact@eventwand.com.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal identifying information (name, email, phone number, profile photo, password, payment method references, address, and similar data) from our active systems. You will not be able to log back in, and your identity will no longer be visible to other users.

Because EventWand is a marketplace where users enter into binding bookings and may exchange payments outside the Platform, and because the law requires us to retain certain financial records, we retain anonymised records of your past bookings, chat messages, reviews, and any reports or disputes. These records are no longer linked to your personal identity and appear to other users only as "Deleted User". This retention is necessary to:

If you have active bookings or unresolved obligations at the time you request deletion, we may ask you to resolve them first.

Full details of what is deleted versus retained, retention periods, and our use of hashed identifiers to prevent fraudulent re-registration are set out in the Privacy Policy.

4. Vendor Terms

This section applies in addition to the rest of these Terms when you use the Platform as a vendor.

4.1 Listing accuracy

You represent and warrant that all information you publish — including your business name, descriptions, addresses, working hours, gallery photos, packages, prices, and payment methods — is true, accurate, complete, and not misleading. You must hold all rights necessary to publish your content and all licences required by law to operate your business.

4.2 Honouring bookings

When you confirm a booking, you commit to providing the agreed services on the agreed date and at the agreed price, subject to the cancellation terms you have published or agreed with the customer.

4.3 Standard of service

You must provide services with reasonable skill and care, comply with all applicable laws, treat customers professionally and respectfully, and honour any deposits, refunds, or guarantees you have offered.

4.4 Independent contractor

You are an independent business. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment relationship, agency, or franchise between you and EventWand.

4.5 Content licence

By uploading content such as gallery photos and descriptions, you grant EventWand a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and promote that content for the purpose of operating and marketing the Platform. This licence ends when you remove the content or close your account, except for content already used in marketing materials or where we are legally required to retain it.

4.6 Effect of vendor account deletion

If you delete your vendor account, your public business profile and gallery will no longer be visible to customers, and you will no longer receive new booking requests. Records of bookings, chats, and reviews related to past customers will be retained in anonymised form as described in Section 3.4 and in the Privacy Policy, so that affected customers can seek support or resolve disputes.

5. Customer Terms

This section applies in addition to the rest of these Terms when you use the Platform as a customer.

5.1 Booking requests

When you submit a booking request, you are making a genuine offer to engage the vendor for the specified event. You must provide accurate event details.

5.2 Direct relationship with the vendor

Once a vendor confirms your booking, the contract for the event service is between you and the vendor. EventWand is not a party to that contract.

5.3 Conduct toward vendors

Communicate respectfully with vendors and honour the commitments you make through the Platform.

6. Bookings, Payments, and Cancellations

6.1 How a booking works

The customer submits a booking request to a vendor through the Platform. The vendor may accept, reject, or propose changes. The customer and vendor then finalise the terms — including date, services, price, and cancellation policy — through the Platform's chat or directly. The vendor confirms the booking on the Platform.

6.2 Payments

EventWand does not process payments. All payment arrangements are made directly between the customer and the vendor using the payment methods the vendor accepts such as cash, bank transfer, or mobile wallet. We are not responsible for collecting, holding, or refunding payments.

6.3 Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are set by each vendor and should be agreed before the booking is confirmed. EventWand does not enforce or guarantee refunds. We encourage both parties to keep written records of agreed terms in the Platform's chat.

6.4 Disputes

If a dispute arises, try to resolve it directly through the Platform's chat first. We may at our discretion help mediate or provide communication records, but we are not obliged to arbitrate or enforce any outcome between users. To support this, we retain anonymised records of bookings and messages even after a user has deleted their account, as described in Section 3.4.

7. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews must be honest, based on actual experience, and free of defamatory, offensive, or discriminatory content. You must not offer or accept any incentive to leave or change a review, and must not write reviews about businesses you have not used or about yourself. EventWand may remove reviews that violate these rules but does not edit reviews to make them more favourable. Reviews remain visible after the author or recipient deletes their account, shown with an anonymised label.

8. Messaging

The Platform includes a chat feature for customers and vendors to communicate. You must not send illegal, harassing, or fraudulent messages, share third-party personal data without consent, or use the chat to circumvent the Platform. We may review messages where lawful and necessary to investigate abuse or fraud.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 EventWand's rights

The Platform — including its software, design, logos, trademarks, and the EventWand name — is owned by EventWand or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

9.2 Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant EventWand a licence to host and display that content as necessary to operate the Platform.

9.3 Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them without any obligation to you.

10. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Google, Apple, and Firebase. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any vendor or their services, that any customer will honour their commitments, or any specific outcome from using the Platform. You use the Platform at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventWand is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity arising from the Platform. We are not liable for the conduct of any vendor, customer, or other user. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you have paid to EventWand in that period or the equivalent of USD 100 in local currency.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud or gross negligence.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless EventWand and its representatives from any claims, damages, and expenses including legal fees arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, any content you upload, or any dispute between you and another user.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal information, including the full account-deletion process and our data-retention practices, is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

15. App Store and Google Play

If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and EventWand, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Changes

16.1 Changes to the Platform

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will not be liable for doing so.

16.2 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be brought before the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.

Before filing a claim, please try to resolve the matter informally by contacting contact@eventwand.com. We will try to reach a resolution within 60 days.

18. General

These Terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and EventWand regarding the Platform. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control such as natural disasters, government action, or internet outages.
