This Privacy Policy explains how EventWand collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique provider ID, your name, email address, and profile picture where provided. We never receive your password from these providers.
The app may request these permissions. You may decline them, though some features will be unavailable:
We do not collect GPS location, contacts, microphone audio, calendar data, or SMS messages.
We do not store payment card information. All payments are arranged directly between customers and vendors outside the Platform.

When a customer makes a booking request, the vendor can see their name, profile picture, phone number, and booking details. Customers can see a vendor's full business profile, gallery, and reviews. Reviews you publish are visible to all users.
These providers act as data processors and may only use your data on our instructions.
We may disclose information to comply with a law or court order, to enforce our Terms, to prevent fraud or security issues, or to protect the rights and safety of EventWand, our users, or the public.
If EventWand is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred. We will notify you and require the recipient to honour this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Some providers, notably Google Firebase, operate data centres outside your country. By using the Platform, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in those countries, subject to the safeguards those providers offer.
EventWand is a two-sided marketplace where customers and vendors enter into binding bookings, exchange messages, and may be involved in disputes. To balance your right to delete your data with our legal obligations and our duty to protect the other party in any past transaction, account deletion works as follows.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the mobile app. The flow includes a clear disclosure of what is deleted versus retained, a re-authentication step for security, and a final confirmation. You may also email contact@eventwand.com to request deletion.
Upon confirmation, we permanently remove the following from our active systems:
After deletion, you cannot log back into the account, and your identity is no longer visible to other users on the Platform. Other users see only a placeholder such as "Deleted User" in past bookings, chats, and reviews.
For legal compliance, fraud prevention, and protection of the other party in any past transaction, we retain the following in an anonymised form — that is, no longer linked to your personal identity:
This retention is grounded in our legitimate interest in operating a safe marketplace and in our legal obligations, as permitted by applicable data-protection laws.
To prevent users who have committed fraud or serious violations from immediately re-registering, we keep a one-way hashed record of certain identifiers (email, phone number, and any government ID we collected) after account deletion. These are cryptographic hashes — we cannot recover or read the original values, and they are used only to match against new sign-ups. Where a match is detected on an account that had unresolved complaints or fraud flags, registration may be blocked.
If you have active bookings, pending dispute resolutions, or other unresolved obligations to another user at the time you request deletion, we may ask you to resolve those first, or proceed with deletion while preserving the records necessary to resolve them.
Anonymised records and hashed identifiers are permanently purged from our systems at the end of the retention period stated in Section 7.

The Platform is for users 18 and over. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact contact@eventwand.com and we will delete it.
We protect your information using encrypted password storage, TLS for all data in transit, time-limited authentication tokens, role-based access controls, and regular security updates. No system is 100% secure. We will notify you of any incident affecting your data as required by law.
The website and admin portal use cookies for authentication, language preferences, and aggregate analytics (where consented). The mobile apps use secure local storage for tokens, preferences, and notification identifiers. You can clear this by signing out or uninstalling the app.
We only send marketing messages if you have opted in. To opt out, click Unsubscribe in any marketing email or turn off notifications in your device settings. Transactional messages (booking confirmations, security alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
